Explore our findings from a four-year assessment of the FCAP model in Rwanda and Uganda
This report analyzes the results of Spark’s on-going community assessment (OCA) forms collected between 2015 and 2019 in communities in Rwanda and Uganda. Although Spark was continually iterating its approach throughout this period, these findings deliver a strong account of the livelihoods impact and overall impact of the FCAP model. While this dataset was not collected within the confines of a rigorously designed study, the livelihoods results are consistent with prior reports on asset growth and food consumption, providing confidence that the FCAP generates results in both.
This latest report is current as of July 2020 and includes the addition of Burundi.
Review Spark’s study on the sustainability of graduated communities
In 2019, Spark conducted an internal study to determine whether FCAP projects and meetings continued to sustain one year after communities graduated from the process. It also sought to understand which components of the larger FCAP model sustained after the end of the program. The study collected data from 38 communities in Uganda and 35 in Rwanda.
