We talked to one community member, Shakira, about her experience over the last year, as well as her hopes for the New Year: 

"Before we partnered with Spark, we farmed, but we never worked together - we did not know how to. When Spark intervened and invited everyone to work together as a community, Madenge began to change. In 2017, we were able to share ideas and if you had a challenge, you asked your friends for help. So, I am excited for the New Year. Besides the cow I bought, I also hope to open a shop."
